2 Letter HFO/Edu/AP/2026/45 dated 15-05-2026 from UNICEF Field Office addressed to the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, AP.
The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the references cited. The UNICEF, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh, has proposed to develop an Online Teacher Training Course on Nutrition on the DIKSHA LMS platform. The proposed course is intended to strengthen teachers' knowledge and classroom practices related to child nutrition, balanced diet, healthy dietary habits, micro nutrients, hidden hunger, processed and ultra-processed foods, and integration of nutrition concepts into classroom teaching. As part of the course development process, it is decided to conduct a Baseline Survey / Teacher Knowledge Assessment on Nutrition through DIKSHA LMS for teachers teaching Classes 1-12. The survey questionnaire has been developed by UNICEF to assess nutrition knowledge gaps, classroom practices, training needs, and support requirements of teachers. The responses received through this survey will be analysed and used for finalising the course content, module flow, video scripts, activities, assessments, and digital learning resources for the proposed Nutrition Course.

Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions to the Additional Project Coordinators, Deputy Educational Officers, Mandal Educational Officers, School Complex Headmasters and Headmasters concerned to disseminate the survey link and ensure that all teachers participate in the survey within the stipulated timeline duly ensure wide communication of the survey link and SOP through official channels, including district/mandal / school-level WhatsApp groups, email, and other communication modes, so as to ensure maximum participation from teachers across the State.
The SOP for participating in the DIKSHA LMS survey is enclosed herewith as Annexure-l for communication to all teachers.For any technical support, teachers may contact the District DIKSHA Coordinators / Mandal DIKSHA Coordinators /DIKSHA State Team.
