6. Application Fee
Application Fee: ₹1,000 per post.
The fee is payable through the Payment Gateway. Fee payment and online application submission start on 11-11-2026 and close on 30-11-2026.
7. Age Limit and Relaxation

- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Age is calculated as on 01-07-2026.
- Ex-servicemen receive relaxation by deducting the length of armed forces service plus an additional three years from actual age, subject to the notification conditions.
8. Educational Qualifications
- Separate qualifications apply to School Assistant subject posts and SGT posts.
- Applicants must possess the required academic and other qualifications as on 05-11-2026.
- D.Ed (Special Education) / B.Ed (Special Education) qualifications recognized by NCTE / RCI are also eligible for SGT / SA in general schools, subject to NCTE norms.
- Candidates should check the official Information Bulletin for exact subject combinations and professional qualifications.
9. Minimum Qualifying Marks – DSC 2026
For School Assistant (except Physical Education) and SGT posts, the aggregate qualifying marks are calculated using TRT (80%) and TET (20%).

11. Examination Details
- Examination mode: Computer Based Test (CBT).
- CBT sessions will be conducted from 20-12-2026.
- Examinations are scheduled up to 13-01-2027.
- Examinations will be conducted in district headquarters, municipalities, revenue divisions and mandals as allotted.
- Candidates must appear in the allotted examination centre.
- Examination medium: English and the medium opted by the candidate.
- School Assistant (Physical Education): English and Telugu only.
- Normalization will be adopted where multiple examination shifts are conducted.
12. Selection Procedure
- Online application submission.
- Computer Based Test.
- Normalization, wherever applicable.
- Preparation of merit list.
- One-time preference editing facility after merit list publication.
- Uploading eligibility certificates.
- Certificate verification.
- Final selection and appointment as per applicable rules.
13. Management-wise and Post-wise Preferences
Candidates applying for more than one post or management must give their preferences in sequential order while submitting the application.
A one-time edit facility will be provided immediately after publication of the merit list for seven days. Only the order of existing preferences can be changed. Other application particulars cannot be modified through this facility.
Selection against a higher-priority option will remove the candidate from consideration for lower-priority options.
14. Reservation Details
- Local Reservation: 95% of posts are reserved for local candidates in the respective local area/local cadre.
- Open Competition: Remaining 5% is available to local and non-local candidates on merit. It is not an exclusive non-local quota.
- Vertical Reservation: SC Groups I, II and III, ST, BC Groups A, B, C, D and E, and EWS.
- Horizontal Reservation: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, Women and Meritorious Sports Persons, as per applicable rules.
- EWS: Gross annual family income below ₹8 lakh, subject to the prescribed conditions.
- EWS certificate must be based on FY 2025-26 income and issued by the competent Revenue Authority in the rank of Tahsildar in digital format on or after 01-04-2026.
15. Sports Quota
- Sports quota applicants must register on the SAAP digital platform at sports.ap.gov.in or another designated platform.
- They must obtain a Sports Person Identification Number (SPID).
- SPID must be furnished in the DSC-2026 online application.
- Sports merit certificates and supporting documents must be uploaded in the SAAP portal within the notified application period.
- Candidates must appear for the written examination and secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.
- Sports priority and eligibility will be determined according to the applicable Government Orders.
16. Important Instructions to Candidates
- Read the Information Bulletin before applying.
- Check post-wise eligibility and qualifications.
- Government and aided institution employees must inform their Head of Office / Department in writing about their application.
- Provide correct personal and educational details.
- Carefully select management-wise and post-wise preferences.
- Verify all particulars before final submission and payment.
- No edit option will be provided after final submission.
- Upload eligibility certificates within seven days from publication of merit list.
- Bring original certificates for verification.
- False or fabricated information can result in rejection and legal action.
- Recruitment communications will be available through the candidate's individual login.
- Selected candidates must join duty within 30 days of receiving the appointment order.
