The scholarship is a boon for the poor middle class pursuing higher education. This scholarship, provided by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation, founded by Kumari Shibulal and SO Shibulal, can be said to be a boon for talented poor students. Those who have passed the tenth standard and are studying in the first year of intermediate can apply. Depending on the course and time limit, a scholarship of up to Rs. 10 thousand per year is provided in intermediate and up to Rs. 75 thousand in graduation depending on the student's talent. Students are selected after an online test and interview.

Qualification :: 2025-2026 academic year

Those who have passed class 10 in 2026 and are studying in the first year of Inter should apply. • Those whose annual family income is less than Rs. 2 lakh are eligible. • Must have secured at least 90 percent marks in class 10. For the disabled, they must have secured 75 percent marks. The disability should be 40 percent. An income certificate issued by the Tahsildar is mandatory. Students can apply directly on the website for free.

Scholarship Details (Andhra Pradesh)

Award Amount: Up to ₹10,000 per year for Classes 11 and 12. (Scholarships for graduation courses can vary from ₹10,000 to ₹60,000 annually).Eligibility Criteria:Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh who completed Class 10/SSC.
Must have scored at least 90% marks or a 9 CGPA (75% or 7.5 CGPA for students with disabilities).
Total annual family income must be less than ₹2 Lakhs.

The Government have constituted the Joint Staff Councils (JSCs) at different levels to provide a platform for the examination and conciliation of grievances of employees, as mentioned hereunder.

 

3. The meetings shall be held as per the above schedule, & appropriate action shall be taken on the issues raised by the Recognised Service Associations in a timebound manner.

4. The District Collectors shall furnish copies of the minutes of each meeting & Action Taken Report to the concerned Heads of Departments, under copy to the General Administration (Services Welfare) Department.

5. The Heads of Departments shall furnish copies of the minutes of each meeting & Action Taken Report to the concerned Secretariat Departments, under copy to the General Administration (Services Welfare) Department.

6. The Secretariat Departments shall furnish copies of the minutes of each meeting & Action Taken Report to the General Administration (Services Welfare) Department.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Vide G.O Rt.No.1007, General Administration (Poll.B) Department, Dated:21-05-2026 has declared 28-05-2026 (Thursday) as a public holiday on account of Bakrid (Eid al-Adha).

In view of the above declaration of public holiday, the Economics Paper -1 & Mathematics paper -IIB examinations scheduled on 28th May 2026 stand postponed and will now be conducted on 05-06-2026 (Friday), as detailed below in view of the ongoing admission process for higher education institutions.

Important Instructions:

Candidates shall appear for the above examinations with the same Hall Ticket on 05-06-2026 (Friday).from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM for II Year in Afternoon Session.

The examination timings are from 09.00 AM to 12.00 Noon for I Year in the Forenoon session and The examination centre remains unchanged.

The remaining examinations in the previously announced schedule shall remain unchanged.

Scheme Overview & Benefits

The scheme aims to empower mothers, increase school enrollment, and reduce dropout rates.

Financial Assistance: Eligible families receive an annual assistance of ₹15,000 per school-going child.

Disbursement: Out of the ₹15,000, ₹2,000 is deducted at the source for the overall development, hygiene, and maintenance of the school, and the remaining ₹13,000 is directly credited to the mother's bank account.

Coverage: The aid applies to students from Class 1 to Class 12 (Intermediate) studying in government, private aided, and private unaided schools.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scheme, students and their families must meet the following requirements:

Student Enrollment: The student must be studying between Class 1 and Class 12.

Attendance: The student must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance during the academic year.

Bank Account: The student's mother (or guardian/father if the mother is deceased) must have an active bank account.

NPCI Linking: The mother's bank account must be linked with her Aadhaar number through the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) for the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Checking Payment Status

If you are an eligible beneficiary and wish to check the status of your "Talliki Vandanam" payment or track application lists, you can do so through official government portals and local resources

Direct Inquiry: Visit your local Village/Ward Secretariat to check the beneficiary list or report pending payments.

Aadhaar Status: You can verify if your bank account is mapped and linked to your Aadhaar using the official NPCI Aadhaar Seeding Tracker.

If you have been marked ineligible for the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, it is usually due to a mismatch in government databases, missing data, or failure to meet the specific scheme guidelines.

Common reasons for ineligibility include:

Database Errors: The mother or child's details are missing from the official School Education Department database.

Income & Land Limits: Family income exceeds Rs. 10,000/month (rural) or Rs. 12,000/month (urban), or landholdings exceed the limit (over 3 acres wet or 10 acres dry).

Taxpayer or Govt Employee: A family member pays income tax or works in the central/state government (excluding sanitation workers).

Electricity Usage: Household electricity consumption exceeds 300 units per month.

Ineligible Course: The student is enrolled in ITI, Polytechnic, or a fee-reimbursed course (like IIIT), rather than Classes 1 through 12.

Attendance: The student failed to maintain the required 75% attendance during the previous academic year.

Bank Account Issues: The mother's bank account is not seeded with Aadhaar or linked via NPCI for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

How to Check Your Status and Raise a Grievance

Verify Your Status: Check your application status online to see the exact reason for your rejection. You can do this by logging in with your Aadhaar number on the official Gram Ward Sachivalayam portal.

Contact Scheme Officials: If you believe you were marked ineligible by mistake, visit your local Village/Ward Secretariat or the school principal.

Submit Required Proofs: Provide the necessary corrections or documents (like income proofs or updated ration cards) so officials can verify your eligibility for the next phase of disbursement.

In the G.O. first read above, orders were issued declaring 27.05.2026 (Wednesday) as General Holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) for the year 2026.

2. In the letter 2nd read above, the Chief Executive Officer (FAC), Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board, Vijayawada, has submitted that the General Holiday for Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) is likely to be observed on 28.05.2026 (Thursday), based on the sighting of the moon, instead of 27.05.2026 (Wednesday) as indicated in the Government Calendar and requested that the General Holiday for Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) be rescheduled to 28.05.2026 in place of 27.05.2026 and solicited favourable orders.

3. The Government, after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to change the General Holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) to 28.05.2026 (Thursday) instead of 27.05.2026 (Wednesday). Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the Extra-ordinary Gazette of Andhra Pradesh State:
